There are a number of exercise bike categories. The main 4 are: Upright bike – This is the standard exercise bike most people are familiar with. Usually with adjustable tension, set programs and an electronic console for feedback. This style of bike usually has a straight, upright seated position. Spin Bike – Similar to riding a road bike as far as seat and pedal position. Recumbent Bike – Suited to people who have lower back/knee issues. Recumbent bike seats are also the largest of all bikes. Air Bike – Air bikes are designed for HIIT (high impact interval training). They have a strong frame and can be ridden very hard. They have no electronic programs or tension control.
For regular cardio-vascular health and weight loss, upright bikes are the typical choice. If you have lower back or knee issues, we would suggest a recumbent bike. For HIIT training or circuit training Air bikes are the most popular choice. If customers are looking for a bike that is similar to a road bike, we suggest a spin bike.
Most electronic bikes drawer very little power. No more in fact than a common household appliance.
No, they don’t. Keep the bike free from moisture and dust and wipe down after use.
